“ I needed a special bottle of tequila; of course they have it. The thing that fascinated me, the most was; little cans and assorted sizes of bottles of cocktails where all you need is ice or chill them. When I need wine for cooking there are small bottles in 4 pack carriers. What isn't totally used in the entree can be saved for the next meal. The staff is very knowledgeable and more than happy to help. There are wide price points; I guess it depends on the quality or rarity of the alcoholic beverage. Talk to the staff for their input and advice. ”

“ My previous review still stands. This is my favorite liquor store in New York, period. And now during COVID-19, we can't go inside to shop, but... BUT! They have curbside pick-up, open daily 10 am-7pm (Sundays are noon to 7). So you can have your wine and self isolate and all is right in the world. Or at least seem that way. Thank you, Viscount! ”
“ There are only two liquor stores in Dutchess County that you need to know about - Viscount, and Arlington Liquors on 44. (Let's not get into NY State's ridiculous laws that isolate wine and liquor from beer and vice versa, because the beer conversation is a whole different thing.) Viscount is huge. The selection is vast (they break out the Bordeaux by vintage, for Pete's sake.) The prices are excellent -- get yourself one of their freebee discount cards, because not only do they whack prices off of current inventory but you rack up points fast and get cash (against purchases...) in exchange. The staff is friendly and helpful (OK, one or two of the cashiers are perhaps a little cool...but whatever! The people roaming the floors are both knowledgeable and nice.) Arlington is closer to me, but when I'm stocking up or loading up for a party or just in the mood for some fun grown-up window shopping...I'll swing by Viscount. Also, the reserve room is pretty outstanding if you really, really need something super-duper special. ”
